The exhibition « Interactive Particles »  explores the intersection of art, design and digital technologies through interactive audiovisual works, virtual reality experiences and immersive installations where art and technology intertwine.

Driven by new narrative forms and an algorithmic aesthetic, these works reinvent physical space and offer poetic shifts in perspective. At the heart of the exhibition is a narrative exploration of patterns of human behaviour under extreme conditions, shedding light on the mechanisms that shape our thoughts, emotions and actions.

Viewers can become co-creators and active participants, moving between intuition, reality and virtuality to question identity and the construction of possible worlds.

EXHIBITION OPENING HOURS

The exhibition runs until 14 November 2026.

Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00 – 17:00

ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

TATIANA LOPES: A multimedia artist and designer based in Luxembourg, Tatiana works at the intersection of art, design and digital technologies. Through installations and interactive audiovisual works, she explores how human interactions influence visual systems, turning visitors into active participants in a living space. For this residency, she presents « Becoming », an installation in which human presence and a changing environment evolve together through movement and sound.

BODO KORSIG: A contemporary artist from Trèves working with spatial installations, sculptures and video, Bodo focuses on narrating human behaviour under extreme conditions, illuminating the psychological processes that shape thoughts, feelings and actions. During his Spektrum residency, he develops his art in VR spaces. In the exhibition, he presents a dialogue with Marc Aurèle, with AI animating a speaking replica of the emperor, creating an interactive dialogue between the 2nd and 21st centuries.

FRANÇOIS SCHWAMBORN: A media artist from Sarrebruck, he combines real-time visual processes with physical space, an algorithmic aesthetic and poetic shifts in perspective. His works explore the tension between order and flow, between technological structure and aesthetic sensitivity. François blends immersion and abstraction, bringing nature, code and light into dialogue to reveal emerging possibilities.

PERMANENT EXHIBITION ARTISTS

GWENAEL FRANÇOIS: Oto’s Planet is an internationally acclaimed virtual reality experience. The French director and producer, based in Luxembourg, develops and produces immersive works at Skill Lab, where art and technology intertwine to bring evocative and innovative worlds to life. Presented on the VR headsets at Spektrum, Gwenael’s work will transport audiences of all ages into an immersive spatial narrative.

MENNY OLINGER: Menny Olinger’s humorous side brings laughter as he pushes forms to the limits of 3D printing.

OMMERY DE ZUTTER: Through 3D visualisation and virtual reality, Ommery de Zutter builds architectural worlds evoking cathedrals of light where technology and poetry converge.

HAMES WEE: This exhibition will feature « Hames Wee », the first version of an interactive self-guided walking trail around the works of Albert Hames, which can be seen in Rumelange. This avatar, created by Misch Strotz, the teams at Neon Internet and TIJO Studio, will bring the sculptor back to life, allowing him to explain his works created in the 60s and 70s himself. This approach to outdoor museology combines memory, technology and storytelling, offering an evocative recreation of the past in the present.
